Hi,
just a quick note to say that we'll be running the Embedded Masterclass event again this year. May 6th in Cambridge and May 11th Reading.
www.embedded-masterclass.com
In a nutshell, it is a one day event for hi-tech develops. It's a non-sales forum where they can learn about the latest embedded systems tools and technologies. We run it first at Cambridge and then again at Reading/Bracknel.
Interestingly, we hadn't planned for it this year. It's more by popular demand (as they say). To our surprise a number of vendors were very keen to keep this event on the agenda and it now has more industry support than ever.
Key to the event will be more 1/2 day technical workshops. It does seem that this is what engineers really want from such an event, as opposed to big stands with numerous salesmen. Also - we are planning to ditch 'Power Point' in favour of a white board, flip chart and some hand outs. We think this will be a fresh approach and raise the quality of the technical presentations. The feedback for this has been positive from the engineers community (but a sense of alarm from several of the presenters!).
The vendor exhibition will still be a tabletop format. We quite like the simplicity of this and we think that it helps keep the focus on the technology and makes for a more informal atmosphere for the exchange of information and ideas.
The event is free to embedded engineers and project managers. The 1/2 day workshop are £95+vat
Please contact me if you have any questions about this event.
Best regards
